Convocation

The annual Convocation is a formal ceremony that welcomes and celebrates new students and their families as members of the Â鶹´«Ã½AV University community.

Faculty and administrators process in full academic regalia and new students and their families are greeted by leaders from the University community. Students will take the Academic Integrity Pledge in the presence of family members, fellow students, and the University staff and faculty.

Convocation 2024 will be on Friday, August 23th at 2:30 p.m.

Ceremony Information

WHEN: Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.

WHERE: Campus Recreation Center Baseball Field

We realize that some family members will not be able to join us in person for the Convocation Ceremony; .  We recommend that you start the link at 2 p.m. to witness our students process onto the field.

We encourage families to determine a meeting place after the ceremony in the vicinity of the Campus Recreation Center or Commons to say their goodbyes.

Convocation Lunch

WHEN: Friday, August 23, 2024, 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.  Upper Commons Dining Room

Hosted by Bon Appétit Dining the menu features ethically & locally sourced ingredients.   Lunch includes a seasonal & fresh salad bar, hot & cold entrée options, as well as dessert & Pepsi products for beverages
Incoming students eat for free; guests may purchase tickets for $15.00 per person

Three seatings are available, 11am-11:45am | 12pm-12:45pm | 1pm-1:45pm

RWU utilizes the RWU Tickets webpage for Convocation Lunch purchases.  If you have purchased tickets for a previous event, you are able to log in and purchase tickets.

Guests who need to create a new General Public account should follow the instructions below:

   1. Click Register as New Customer

    2. Complete the information listed under General Public

    3. Click Register as General Public

    4. Set up your Customer Information, Billing Information and Shipping Information

    5. You will see all of our available events, select your event that you wish to purchase

    6. Click Get Tickets

    7.Select the number of tickets needed for quantity and click Find Tickets

    8. Please complete all necessary information

    9. Select in Delivery Method: E-Ticket

    10. Finally, select Checkout under Secure Payment
    Please note that you will have 20 minutes to make your selection or the tickets will be removed from your Cart
