RWU Campus Student Ambassador for RI Blood Center

Organization: RI Blood Center and RWU Community Engagement 

Transportation:  All work done on campus – no transportation needed!

The Rhode Island Blood Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic student ambassador to join our campus team. As a Campus Student Ambassador, you will play a crucial role in promoting blood donation awareness, organizing blood drives, and encouraging fellow students to participate in life-saving blood donation events. 

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in community outreach, event planning, and public relations while making a significant impact on the local community. 

  • Help support and create on campus promotions to increase the number of donors during the five blood drives that RWU hosts each year. 
  • Work table times in conjunction with RIBC team members. 
  • Help organize other partnerships between the RIBC and RWU faculty and students including on campus and classroom presentations on various topics. 
  • Students will be able to also support the volunteer coordinator of this organization in between RWU blood drives in supporting and promoting other drives in the local community. 

Hours and schedule are flexible in order to accommodate student’s availability. Hours increase around the promotion and during each Blood Drive for the 2024/2025 year. 

Blood Drives dates for the fall semester are: 

October 1st and October 2nd 

December 4th and December 5th 

Additionally, 2 drives will be scheduled for spring semester.
